Mike Burroughs
Mike Burroughs started rowing in 2010 when an injury forced him to give up playing tennis. By 2011, he had started coaching juniors for the Indianapolis Rowing Center, and in 2013, he took over as the junior head coach. Over the subsequent 11 years, Mike not only competed as a master's rower but also coached both junior and master's athletes. During that period, Mike coached numerous crews to top 10 finishes at Youth Nationals, US Club Nationals, Head of the Charles, and had crews competing at U19, U21, and U23 trials. Several athletes he has coached have gone on to represent the US in international competition.
